My goal is to educate you on all things financial, money and business so you can continue to live your dream life with no fear or anxiety as it relates to your finances.
Before you start diving into the nitty gritty, maybe (definitely) nerdy financial tidbits, I think it’s important for you to have an understanding of my background and why/how I will be able to help you.
My Financial Background
I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and a CPWA (Certified Private Wealth Advisor). I spent 12+ years in the accounting & finance industry working at the Big 4 all the way to the #1 finance team in the country.
My clients consisted of all ages, living all over the map each with a different mindset and relationship with money. They ranged from building & creating well-known sustainable businesses, investors just getting started to CEO’s of Fortune 500 companies. I’ve seen first hand what works, what does not and most importantly, why that is.
I LOVE working with clients, I LOVE helping people succeed financially and that is exactly why I have created the FinPowered Female blog.
Why Did I Stop?
A lot of factors were involved in making that incredibly difficult decision. I was the corporate climber after all, stop working? Say it ain’t so!
Two main variables drove my choice to change my professional trajectory. One, my adorable and rambunctious boys came into this world and the corporate lifestyle didn’t align with the family life I wanted. My love of hard work, ambitious character and desire to make money never wavered. But I knew at that moment in my life, I had to make a shift if I wanted to stay true to the life I wanted to live.
Two, I had a gut feeling that I simply was not where I was supposed to be. I was not making the impact I wanted and was not in full control of my career and professional growth. I respected and cared for all of my bosses over the years – not everyone shares that experience. That’s when I knew I was meant to be an entrepreneur. I loved who I was working for and yet I still didn’t want anyone to be my boss. Cute, right?!
January 2020 I followed my “knowing” and left my successful, rewarding career with leadership that I respected to stay at home with my babies and start the next chapter of my life. It was terrifying and wildly satisfying. My plan was to start my own business in 2020…but COVID…no daycare…2 kids 2 & under…YEAH….that wasn’t going to happen. I was lucky to even get 5 minutes to myself! If you’re a mom, YOU KNOW!
But I am here now and excited to help women and millennials gain confidence in taking ownership of their financial lives and setting themselves up for a bright financial future!
Why Should You Care About FinPowered Female’s Financial Guidance?
The last time I checked we didn’t work so hard to make money so that a toddler could take the bills out of our wallet and rip them to shreds. Yes, my toddler did this. No, I was not pleased. But the point is, we work hard for our money!!
So if you could learn a thing or two about which choices you could opt into to save a little money on taxes; which expenses were deductible for an entrepreneur; which investment vehicle would yield the greatest return, how to save for your kids college education or how to save on mortgage interest, wouldn’t you tune in?
Wouldn’t you take 5 minutes to get a better understanding of how to continue to build your financial empire and set yourself up for more financial success?
….yeah, me too!
